Monday, November 23, 2009: For those anglers that enjoyed getting out this past Friday / Saturday........they were rewarded with high catches of Striped Bass and Big Blues! Trolling umbrella rigs, shad rigs and Stretch 30+ were red hot for these fish. Those that followed the birds and jigged also produced great numbers of fish. The hot jigs were Ava 47's in green, yellow, anmd black. Crippled Herring's in the 2 to 3 ounce sizes also worked very well. Most of the fish were caught anywhere from the Coast Guard Station up to the Ferris Wheel in Seaside. Water depth was as close as 20 feet out to the 60 foot mark. Hopefully the next storm does not churn the water too much, and if it does, hopefully it will settle down soon and the fish will still be there in the impressive numbers we had over the weekend.
